In the week’s Ultra Weekend Recap, where we list ultramarathon results from across North America, we feature results from Colorado, North Carolina, Iowa and Florida. Let’s get to the action.

Our first stop this Labor Day weekend takes us to Crested Butte, Colorado, for the 40-mile Grand Traverse Mountain Run. We start in the women’s event, where Rachel Downey clocked a 7:30:43 to take the win. Marisa Asplund finished second in 8:23:27, and Tori Tyler completed the podium in third (8:38:42). In the men’s race, Bash Walio took top honors securing the overall win in 6:29:38. Ben Blankenship claimed second (6:52:45), and Liam Wall finished just behind in third (6:53:41). Full results when available.

Heading to the southeastern US and Southern Pines, North Carolina, we check in on the Weymouth Woods 50k where runners had to complete four 7.85-mile loops. First place male went to Aaron Coe in 4:35:02. Eric Kuhlmann placed second (4:52:19), and Paul Rose finished third (4:54:17). On the women’s side, Marissa Jones earned the victory, winning in 5:36:21 (eighth overall). Chana Lowy took second (5:58:35), and Felicia Wood finished just 8 seconds later for third (5:58:43). Full results here.

Our next stop takes us to the Midwest and Booneville, Iowa, for the Booneville Backroads Ultra (100-mile, 100k and 50k). Because the race featured three ultra distances, we’ve only listed the winners, but you can find the full results from all the events here. In the 100-mile, Nic Chiri claimed the victory in 19:50:52 (no female finishers). In the 100k distance, Samantha Hegarty (15:55:18) finished first female and ninth overall. Brent Kennicott took the victory in the men’s contest, winning by over 85 minutes in 11:32:05. In the 50k race, Kyle Braund ran a screaming-fast 3:26:11 to set a new course record and claim the overall victory. Whitney Noe finished first female and fourth overall, running the third-fastest time in course history (4:27:16).

Finally, we visit sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, for the 11th running of the 46-mile Pinellas Trail Challenge. In the women’s race, Katie Hoover shattered the previous course record by over 25 minutes, winning in a speedy 6:28 and finishing second overall. Loan Vo placed second female and fifth overall (6:57:14 and third-fastest course time ever). Joanne Fisher (7:13:06) claimed third and finished eighth overall. In the men’s race, Desi Wilson was first to cross the finish line in 6:21:50. Keith Lynch (6:37:44) finished second, and Alex Rosier (6:47:11) rounded out the podium in third. Full results here.
